This policy explains what Square Yard, LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company, collects, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
What we collect
- Waitlist: if you sign up for early access on this website, we collect the email address you submit.
- App account (beta): when you use the SquareYard app, we collect your email address and the content you create — pins, notes, photos, map markup, and team maps you join. Photos you take in the app can include the time and location they were captured; that's a feature (documentation for your jobs), and it's stored with your content.
- This website sets no advertising trackers and runs no third-party analytics.
How we use it
- To run the Service: store your content, sync it to your devices, and share it with teammates you choose.
- To contact you about early access, your account, and meaningful product changes.
- To keep the Service safe — debugging, abuse prevention, and security.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their marketing.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with our infrastructure providers — Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) and Cloudflare (website hosting) — on servers in the United States. These providers process data on our behalf and don't get to use it for their own purposes.
What we share, and with whom
- Teammates you choose: content you post to a shared map is visible to that map's members — that's the point of shared maps.
- Service providers: the infrastructure named above.
- Legal reasons: if the law genuinely requires it.
Your choices
- Ask what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its data: email info@squareyard.us and we'll handle it.
- Waitlist emails: every email we send you includes a way to opt out, or just tell us and we'll remove you.
Children
SquareYard is a professional tool and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes affecting active users will also be flagged in the app or by email.
